Nice, my brother had a 350 HQ Monaro before he moved back to England. They really weren't that great though, the real classics are the earlier HK-HT-HG Monaros. By the HQ-Z series the Monaro was pretty much the same as the other Holdens in the range, the performance Holdens of that era were the Toranas.
I think it's lovely. It's quite a look smaller than the equivalent Mustang (check out the Mach 1 in my pictures, it's like a boat!) or Camaro and the better for it. It's more Capri-like in size.
For those that are interested here are the rest of the pictures I took:

Unfortunately the spec page is very sparse, I was looking for the power and dimensions. I'm sure you are probably right about it being slightly smaller than the US contemporaries, but Capri size? I wouldn't have thought so. (I haven't owned a Capri but between me, Brother and Dad we have had probably 6 or more HQs.)
Almost all remaining 4 door HQs are now used (or destroyed) in the HQ racing class, I will try to find a video to link to.

Capri (1970 3000E): 4280mm 1646mm 1288mm
HQ Monaro: 4763mm 1880mm 1349mm
You are right, it's quite a bit bigger than a Capri, I think it was just an illusion as I'd been looking at Mustangs, Chargers and Roadrunners before I got to the 'ro.
I found this link which seems to have a comprehensive list of specs:

The accessory brochure PDF is cool!
