Thinking of chipping my Jag XJR-8, has any-one done this that can tell me from experience what the additional performance is like and does it reduce the MPG consumption? For £500 is it worth it?
Est power gain should be around 400BHP and 430Torque.

The usual method of upping the output on an XJR is to change the size of the pulley wheel for the supercharger belt, thus increasing the speed at which it turns.

Not familiar with the idea of chipping to be honest as it doesn't usually come up when there's an easier way.

Out of interest, are you planning on getting the big brake upgrade too?

Have had my pulley changed, but felt that the ECU DID need re-mapping to make the best of the upgrade, went to Paramount for the ECU

Hi 180ous

And thanks Norman for the intro

Yes we can remap the XK and XJ’s, in fact we remap all Jags and most cars. On the super charged Jags we can normally get around 30-36bhp, this is boosted to near 50bhp if combined with an upper super charger pulley – and let me tell you that’s a huge increase and you can really feel it across the whole rev range. And its a lot cheaper than you may think.

During the remap we can also remove the speed limiter if you like.

With regards to the MPG, you will not believe this but most customers tell us not only does the engine feel smoother and more powerful, but they see a 2-3 improvement in MPG.

This work is carried out in house live on our Dyno, so you can wait and watch whilst its being done.
