Well sort of, according to this:

Sounds like the FIA want to keep them in line for the future...

If it was the other way round Ferrari would have lost points as every other team would have asked them to be removed.
Why would that be?npope said:

Why would that be?All the other teams have to pay Ferrari in order to be allowed into F1. It is therefore no surprise that their preferential treatment puts them under closer scrutiny by their peers.

Why would that be?For that reason they're never going to be popular and this whole thing smacked of foul play on Ferrari's part right from the beginning anyway.
Just as one example, I'd heard several rumours going round the paddock that this 'white powder' that Ferrari had found is just the talcum powder every team uses to help ease the fitting of the bag tanks. Feed a piece of information saying 'white powder found in Ferrari fuel tank area' to the mainstream media and 'bosh' you've got yourself a frenzy.
It's all just seemed too much like a set-up, riddled with factualy weirdities, like why would you take nearly a thousand page document to a photocopying shop? It would be cheaper to buy a photocopier aside from anything else!

Didn't I read that Super Aguri had drawings of the Red Bull and Torro Rosso? They were using them as part of their campaign to have the Torro Rosso declared illegal (all seems to have gone quiet on that subject)>
However if they had those plans of the opposition why aren't they in fromt of the WMSC?
The people who have brought the sport into disrepute are those who are briefing the meida, and most of the briefing seems to be done in Italy.
Incidentially will Dtepney and Couglan ever be brought to trial, with so much media speculation and naming of names how can they ever get a fair trial?
