2002 Motorshow Blow Outs
BMW and Mercedes to wimp out?
Discussion
They probably get more publicity by saying they're not going than they would by turning up! Plus saying you're not going is free
No big deal as I hate the Birmingham Motorshow anyway - far too packed. Went to the Geneva one last year (got some free tickets when there on holiday), and it was much better (except Lotus, who wouldn't let people on their stand to look at the cars up close - tossers)

Simple solution. Easyjet to Geneva (about the same price as the train to Birmingham!) for the day next March.
All the cars that you won't see in the UK until 2003 plus the best concept cars, and all in two largish halls that you can whizz around in about 4 or 5 hours easy. I've been every year for donkeys and am always treated well - especially on the brit stands.
Last time I went to Birmingham it was full of kids and staffed by people who knew nothing. Every stand was crowded and gestapo patrolled. Dreadful!
