JOB DESCRIPTION
POST: Retail Sales & Service Consultant
PACKAGE: £15k basic with OTE £25k + (uncapped)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Managing Director
BACKGROUND:
• Based in Fife, Dastek has unrivalled expertise in the design, manufacture & distribution of automotive electronics & specialised test equipment to motor manufacturers, the performance tuning industry & end user customers
JOB PURPOSE:
• To generate new business and maintain existing customer base.
• To proactively develop and maintain a high level and value of business activity.
• Be able to put your customers first in all aspects of your day-to-day work and deliver the best customer experience in Scotland.
• Willing to help and enjoy the interaction with customers to reach our financial and Customer Satisfaction objectives
• The ability to communicate clearly all aspects of work (Services, upgrades, etc.)
• Assist customer’s decisions on viable upgrades & modifications.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Day-to-day responsibilities for managing retail customer enquiries, orders, and queries.
2. Undertake a proactive approach to attract potential new customers.
3. Secure, retain and develop new business, which will be target driven.
4. Increase and maintain the turnover of existing customers.
5. To deal with customers face to face at our retail facility.
6. Liaise between workshop personnel & customers.
7. Efficiently organise volume of work.
8. Organise & attend shows and exhibitions as and when required (may involve weekend work).
9. To undertake new and additional responsibilities as and when required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications
• Experience is more desirable than qualifications 5
Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge and understanding of cars & performance modifications 3
• Computer literate, Outlook, Excel, Word 3
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills 4
Experience
• Understanding of how to attract and develop existing and potential new businesses 4
• Ability to handle more than one task at any one time 5
• Building and maintaining professional working relationships with customers and colleagues 5
• Working under own initiative or as part of a team 4
• Positive attitude and a 'can do' approach. 5
• Deliver a high standard of customer service / care and after sales to the customer 5
