Just joined the Porsche clan after years of resisting

Heres a question for ya

I have a GT3 996 04 WITH 15000 Miles and the car has not been modified

I bought from a OPC so will be talking to them about this however.

Anyone experienced a rumbling noise or reasonance when braking from high speed? Seems to come from the rear----LSD maybe?

The front pads and disc's have been replaced but I would have thought they would be bedded in after 700 miles.

Also the gearchange is notchy changing up to 3rd when giving it some stick!

Initial thoughts on the car was that it was determined to kill me------feel more relaxed after a day with Don Palmer on his creative driving course in at times torrential rain.

Roll on my first track day in the GT3------I used to love Anglessy any thoughts on the new GP circuit

Dan thanks for the info

Could be rust on the discs.

A few 100-0 runs should solve that!

My PCCB car always rumbled slightly --- it's the sound of slightly hard pads, they do make a noise.

Yeh went the TVR route as well------- Tamora wasn't a problem really apart from trim---handled better than a sagaris IMO.

Dont think this is a brakes issue and would have let it run a bit longer b4 getting worried----however a passenger on a track run asked me what the noise was!

Mine made a similar noise, a bit like a jet putting engines into reverse?, when braking from high speed. This was with brand new brake pads on, after a bit of use - probably >1000 miles noise seems to have disappeared - and the car is still brilliant driving
