love the Mangusta, a very beautifully designed, yet mean looking machine indeed,

the Longchamp GTS isn't at all bad either!
always had a big soft spot for a bewinged Pantera GT5S myself, could well be one of the most visually appealing supercars ever made IMO!,

ETA: another interesting De Toma'

1978 Deauville the De Tomaso Q car possibly?

Transmitter Man!!Anyway in answer the original post, any reincarnation must be at the old factory but alas I really can’t see it happening anytime soon given the remnants of the business are stuck somewhere between the Italian courts and Santiago DeTomaso.
The factory collection was broken up three years ago but there is an enormous parts inventory together with some incomplete cars still well under lock and key which is a sod as the Guara’s cracked windscreen is getting worse by the day.
For me the prettiest car was always the Fissore designed Vallelunga and arguably the most valuable as well

Few love their Dee Tee’s more than yours truly but at a certain Italian car event recently I was left with the distinct impression you are viewed as the poor relation buy the owners of other marques

That's a real shame.Lovely lady who looked after it too. Showed me round and answered all the questions I had while I gawped.
Vallelunga looks much better in the flesh than any photo I've seen. Think the one at the factory was white with a blue stripe. Sure I have pictures somewhere.
I was mistaken...it was red. Think the white one featured in a mag a while ago.
A few (very average) photos of the factory collection as was. Not sure about the last Pantera, and the microcar was interesting...

On the Guara windscreen, wouldn't the people from Carrozzeria Campana in Modena be able to help you out? Certainly not something in Autoshield's stocklist.
Hi Ed,Claudia Lodi, formally of the factory is indeed round the corner at Campana these days and be well worth a try, since acquiring the car I’ve been putting together a ‘just in case’ list given the rarity and scarcity of certain parts.
From what I’ve been able to work out Belco Avia did most if not all of the body parts and do still have them in stock and certainly have the moulds in case Vario runs out of talent at some point in the future.
The car is currently with the people who look after the 911 over at Silverstone for a few weeks as I wanted to get all the track rod ends replaced and have since discovered that one of them was bent and was about to snap! My blood ran cold when it was pointed out to me

The museum lady is the one I’ve mentioned above, Caudia Lodi and was absolutely the mainstay of customer relations between the factory and the UK.
Off the top of my head I can’t remember the colour of the factory Vallelunga but there was a white car with a blue stripe that featured in both the club magazine and C&SC a couple of years ago. A sign of the times perhaps but £100k is the money on a good one today
As for the Si Pantera have a good look, I think they’re fantastic but proving harder to source than the Guara and there was a bun fight for a red Si in Sweden a couple of months back. Interestingly the one that belonged to the old UK concessionaires Emilia which was twin turbocharged is under lock and key in deep storage somewhere but hasn’t been seen for 15 years

The collection Vallelunga's in the link - was def red. First time I'd ever seen one, or heard of one tbh. Loved it.I believe there were only a handful made, so unsurprising the prices are where they are. I would guess that most people on seeing one up close would fall in love with the thing.
Si Pantera - I had a good look round it for around 15mins when there. Not a fan. I generally don't think "smoothing out" and sticking on addenda to original designs is wise. Witness the Lotus Espirit, Countach etc. There are exceptions, but I'm not convinced the Pantera is one of them.

Yep, guess some stuff will be dumped behind locks at the factory or maybe Campana has some stuff on their own premises. Worth a cheap plane ticket to Milano and head into Modena with your list of goodies, show 'em the cash and I guess you'll get sorted Claudia Lodi, formally of the factory is indeed round the corner at Campana these days and be well worth a try, since acquiring the car I’ve been putting together a ‘just in case’ list given the rarity and scarcity of certain parts.

That was a close shave... yet another reason to head to Modena ASAP (well, now ASAP would mean September on Italian terms) and get your hand in as much you can grab there.

I am a die-hard Lamborghini man, but I saw your Guara at the Colchester Italian Car and Bike show and thought it was totally stunning! I have never seen one before in the flesh and will probably not see another one anytime soon. Thank you for making that happen. I am also a very big fan of the Pantera and Mangusta. So as for 'poor relation', certainly not - more like 'lovely relation that you dont get to see that often!'
If you ever fancy joining one of our Lambo convoys, it would be a privilege to have you with us!

Heavens to Murgatroid, a Dee Tee thread on Pistonheads which is in danger of getting onto second page, keep it coming people! We must get it stuffed for posterity.
On that note it was disappointing to see only one Pantera at Silverstone this weekend for the Classic, mine made it but didn’t get beyond Fearnsport’s workshop with its broken trackrod end .
By the way, was your Daytona parked down on Mulsanne on the Friday before Le Mans, I was parked in the Hanundiers car park and saw a Plexiglass fronted Daytona outside? Very nice t was as well
Mind you I was much amused at your rather pristine Anniversary doing its best impersonation of tractor pulling across the grass, a sight to behold indeed with all the grass getting throewn ip behind youi!!!
Actually you may well be able to help but I’m putting an article together for the next DTDC magazine about the event wand would like a few pics of the two Dee Tee’s if you or anybody you know has some?
Who would ever imagine a security guard at a defunct Italian supercar manufacturer would do such a thing, interestingly a fair sized parts inventory has recently surfaced in Germany and Wilkinson in the USA have a bit more stock than normal I’ve been informed, allegedly
It won’t be hardship making weekend of it but I would hate to try and get a load of Guara parts onto a Ryanair 737 with their 25kg baggage allowance, a Transit through the Alps I suspect ;-)
Now where is Mr Bridger when you need him?
Tunnel Run!Vario and his Guara will (suspension repairs permitting) happily accept the Lambo challenge!!!

Point taken on the Si, perhaps its me but I rather like the Gandini restyle of the early nineties and whilst it does indeed lack the purity of Tjaarda’s original they do make the most money, sort of Countach in reverse value wise I suppose.By the way, was your Daytona parked down on Mulsanne on the Friday before Le Mans, I was parked in the Hanundiers car park and saw a Plexiglass fronted Daytona outside? It was a funny old day really, my fellow Tomaso-ist ‘Transmitter Man’ cleared off before lunch but things did pick up a bit later on. I can’t remember the chaps name although I know he posts on here from time to time under the name Urraco but I did manage a really good chat with him and indeed an oglefest at his fantastic Countach 400S, what a fantastic car.

Take a look at this short video clip then!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHgTMRKIK4U
I know quite a few people who were photographing the event that day and will get back to you. Whereabouts are you based?
