Been told mine have gone... not sure where!! Just wondering if anyone knows if it's a DIY job. I'm reasonably handy with a spanner and can jack up engine a bit, but not got the gear for a complete engine out job.

Been quoted £200 from an indi but they're busy for next 2 weeks so was going to give it a go if not too tough.
Cheers.

Hollowpockets has done his, I believe. You could try emailing him. I noticed a brand new mount on ebay last week for £15. Reasonable if you're going the diy option.

howdy!

yep i have done this, it took 5 hours and much head scratching, a job which should be left to the experienced imho, in other words a complete , the engine doesn't need to come out but there is VERY little space and you will get more grey hairs in the process

Hmm... my pops is the real engineering brains for this one so might put it to him and see if he fancies a challenge!

Think £200 is probably worth 5 hours of me tinkering.

Thanks for the responses though. Let me know if any other top tips if I do decide to give it a go!
Rich.

I got torque RVT to do mine when it was found during my MOT that one had broken and the engine had dropped on one side. Something underneath was then gradually sawing (and made significant progress) through a pressurised oil pipe. If that would have gone mid flight, it would not have been a pretty site. Well worth getting new mount(s) as soon as possible.

Have done mine on the Tuscan, which I can´t think is very different. It´s not a major job but make sure you cut the threaded studs down to the same length as the old mounts you remove, or you can´t get them into place.

Topgear Automotive is exactly where I dropped the car off yesterday, thanks JOSHKY. Quoted me £200 for both mounts which I didn't think was too bad considering how long it'd take me to do!

Have to wait for the results now but I'm sure she'll be back up and running fine soon. Cheers all.

"She" is the car yeah... I'm off to Germany soon and the lure of a VAT free car means the Tiv is going to have to go... just can't bring myself to advertise it yet, especially when I've just spent a fortune getting it perfect!
