Any car shows/events in September?
Discussion
Hi folks,
I usually consider Lavenham to be the last show of the season but wondered if there is anything else to visist/attend/show during September. My Uncle is visiting from the States and as he is a petrolhead, was looking for things to entertain him. It's a shame he can't make it out for Rougham and Lavenham As an ex US forces man I'm sure he would have loved Rougham.
Any suggestions also appreciated for other car/plane things to visit. I'm already thinking about days out at the Brooklands & Duxford museums. He likes all cars but his own P&J is a 1929 (maybe 28, I forget) Model A Ford which he restored last year. (way to modern a shiny for David I suspect
).

Cheers
Paul

Thanks for the ideas chaps.
I suspect he won't be here in time for the gala or Marham. The Hawker restoration sounds interesting though, keep us posted.
No Gary, I don't think you've had too much sun, it does look pretty good. Although, he hasn't restored it completely faithfully. He's restored it to use it, which he does frequently I'm glad to say. They are a very practical, reliable and usable classic.
When I was over there last it still looked like this:

I think there are about 800 left that were built over here before Ford set up the UK branch and started to make UK designs. I've only seen this one, another coupe, at shows a couple of years ago. Immaculate, and it was for sale. If I'd had the space and money I would have bought it:
