Hi guys. Me and the Missus are trying to decide on a offroader for the winter months over here in Germany and have narrowed the choice down to the RRS 2.7V6 diesel and BMW X5 3.0 diesel. We spend Jan and Feb in Switzerland so need a car that will deal with the type of tough weather you can get there and along these lines I was wondering what tyres are fitted on the RRS, pure summer or all weathers? I have been told the Beemer has pure summers.
Cheers

All I can say is when it snowed here about 15 cm one weekend we took the kids to white horse hill sledging, on standard road tyres, at the bottom were 2 wheel drive cars spinning away, about 3/4 of the way up an X5 all four wheels spinning, we stopped laughed and then selected snow mode and drove to the top where we were joined by other LR defenders

Sounds good enough for me laugh cheers mate.
Now I have another argument for the RRS over the X5 for the Missus, she wants the Beemer!
