Need new tyres for a GSX-R750 K7 and not sure if I should stick with the BT14s or not. I have no complaints regarding the BT14s yet (been through two sets of them now) but wondered if anyone has any recommendations for anything else to try?

If Rossi can't do it on Michelins then I'm not even going to try.

Those damn surrender monkeys.....

The tyres that come on the new Daytona 675 seem pretty good; Pirelli Super Corsa

Lolss

I'm using Contisport Atacks on the 10, only done 500miles with them but they are pretty good tyres.

If you are into track days then Diablo Corsa 111.

I will probably give the Pilot Road 2CT a go next. Depending on the wear rate of the conti's.

Actually will probably stick on whateve i can get a good deal on.

Lolss probably get Pilot Power 2CT on the cheap now whos going to touch them after some fo the pic floating about.

I've just had some Corsa III's fitted to my GSX-R and they are fantastic. Only done about 150 miles on them over the weekend, but they're stickier than sticky the stick insect on a stick. biggrin

Would highly recommend them, and you can also get £40 off a pair at the moment.

Cheers
Matt

I had Continental Road Attacks on my TL1000R and they were actually pretty good - did about 1000 miles on them, including a track day, and they still looked like new.

Totally agree. Can't wait for my 014's to wear out.....2 CT's all the way. Those Super corsa pro's (I think) might be worth a try. No good for the commute I suspect, as they'll prob last about 1000 miles.

You may have trouble getting 2CTs at the moment. I wanted to fit them to my Firestorm but apparently there are none available as they are all being allocated to those requiring a recall.

The Corsa IIIs are sounding like the most likely option at the moment.

Anyone that has used 2 sets of 14s and has "no complaints" would not realise the benefits of 2CTs or corsas.

If we are honest with ourselves then a 600cc bike is all we'll ever need, along with standard tyres. Well, us mortals anyway.

How did your entry in the TT go this year, BTW?

I've always been a fan of Bridgestones but rarely use them due to their cost. Now I just seem to go for what ever is on offer at the time.
Even touring biased tires offer as much grip as I ever need for road riding and I'm no slow-poke smile

The differences between all these tires is miniscule on all these magazine tests, and all this pub talk of certain tires 'suiting my riding style' is mostly just that... 'talk'.

Good answer.

I do wonder why you come in here, though, as all you seem to do is snipe.
