325 Clutch, has anyone got any ideas?

I've got a 2001 (E46) 325ti and am starting to wonder about the clutch. Sometimes when cold and pulling away from a standstill the clutch will judder slightly as its released. It only seems to happen when cold, so generally in the mornings - it happened twice on the way to work today.
The strange thing is the car went in for a main dealer service last month and that didnt highlight any pronblems (although they did manage to "find" a selection of other parts that needed replacing... and i certainly turned down their offer of 2 tyres for £350!)
I've had it for about 5 months now and it seems to have been happening on and off since then. So i'm wondering if there actually is a problem that the dealer didn't notice of if its just a quirk of the car, should i take it somewherelse for a second opinion?
