Who had the cheapest Supercharger Conversion??
Discussion
LSV did the first 10 of the Vortech supercharger kits at 2.5k iirc. Cheapest at the moment is probably Mark at RapidGB who was offering supply only prices of around 4-4.5k on Ebay. DIY install though if you go down that path. Think a Corvette place in York was offering a twin turbo kit for around 3.5-4k DIY as well.

I've been quoted 5k for a Magnacharger + Intercooler fitted, including dyno charts. I suggest you give Mark a call although I think he's on holiday at the moment.Edited by anonymous-user on Tuesday 31st July 09:12

Did a thread about your kit some while ago.
Geez thanks crisisjez, never been the king of subtle me......
I'm not trying to flog my kits alone (although it would be nice) I'd just like to see a few more on the street.
It makes me sad
when people bad mouth the conversion with no real experience of the product...except what a mate's told em at the pub or what they've read on a forum.
I used to run a CAPA unit on my old VT II was nice but 500hp stopped doing it for me, then went turbo and never looked back. I've got a feeling we'll be seeing more of them around real soon. Can't wait to see what numbers Harryoz's machine ends up doing...exciting times.

You have a good point but like I said, the R+D in this country is still a work in progress.
WRC and their twin turbo silver Monaro`s didn`t help the cause really.
IMO lazy eights need valley blowers, they don`t rev like their euro/jap rivals so thats why all the devel was supercharger oriented.
Certainly will be watching with delight the `project oz` install at Monkfish.

Mate, I've had one of those kits for 2 years back in OZ, on the strip and round the track...no blistering paint for me????? 2.5k for a tune and a warranty, why don't you ask them how much they charge for install and if the install comes with a warranty & tune you might be surprised!
Why are people so adverse to different opions, that kit has been around for years and will make considerably more power than the magnacharger.
My 2C.
What worries me is why you are trying to generate interest in your product without identifying yourself.
IMO its slightly underhand.

crisisjez, mate I never meant to be underhanded about it, although your right it does look a little sinister...was really just trying to defend the product without saying "HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME AND MY TURBO KITS!!". I haven't earned the right to publicly flout on the forum yet. He had some questions so I told him to ask. Also, I just wanted to give him some info from experience and not just take the word of forum 'experts' as gospel. So again, sorry bout that guys.
I'll have to take a trip down south to catch up with some of you guys sometime so we can compare notes, kudos to anybody with kahunas enough to seriously modify their machine.
Yep, based in York Raggyman.

Maybe I am missing something, but I think a big V8 is more suited to a supercharger than a turbo?
If you want a fast reving nippy type of car, you would buy a sporty hatch-back from one of the eastern suppliers?
Surely a Monaro is a big thumpy engined Yank Tank (yeah I know where its made) which goes well when you need it, but is built as a cruser? Therefore a supercharger which gives a whole lot of extra grunt when you want it, is ideal?
My comparision would be M3 or M5? I replaced an M5 with a Monaro as its that sort of car - eats up the miles and is fairly easy to drive - then when you want it to go, it does that to (but perhaps not all the time???).
I wonder if the reported engine failures that seem to be becomming all too common on this forum are down to constant over-reving of what is built as a cruser engine?
I guess others will have different opinions?
