Hi Guys,
Slowy getting to grips carrying out various service bits on my 4.3 and was wondering if any one could tell me:
Plugs gaps for 4.3 and is the air filter renewable or is there an after market upgrade while I have it out?
Any advice would be great.
Cheers

According to the holy bible (Steve Heaths) the spark plug gaps have been stated at 0.8mm or 0.9mm this is for running on the unleaded fuel with ignition timing set at : retard 4deg BTDC....hope that helps you,

The filters need a good clean & re-oil,most motorcycle shops sell suitable oil for filters. Some upgrade with the K&N, but they all need periodic cleaning...

I swear by K&N air filters. Had them on every car I've owned since I stopped being poor.

ACT sell one for the 4.3 and even advertise them on ebay every now and again.

Once you have the oil how do you clean the filter?

Assuming it's a reusable foam filter, the usual technique is wash in water/detergent from the inside out, rinse, dry, then reapply clean oil as per instructions.

Jizer or comma hyper clean works great for cleaning the stock element(does not damage the sponge)let it soak in a tray with the above keep rotating and shaking, then when all the dirt as come out(do again if neccesary) hose from the inside out,let it dry then re/apply the oil leave standing to drain of excess and bobs your unclewink
