Hi folks,

Just wanted to share my experiences with everyone with regards to my new purchase. I'd describe myself as an addictive petrolhead (like most people that post on these forums!), and recently sold my Porsche 911 with a view to venturing into TVR ownership.

I was initially thinking about buying a Chimaera, but having visited the TVR stand at the Tatton Park Classic Car Show, I spoke to a few owners who advised that on my budget, I may be able to buy a Tuscan instead....my decision was made!!

After speaking to various owners, I was introduced to a guy called Heath Briggs who used to work at the TVR factory.
He advised me what I could and couldn't get for the money, and promised to source me a car. After various calls, and me pestering the life out of him he managed to source me a stunning 2001 silver Tuscan with 13,000 miles on the clock, and a full factory engine rebuild.

The service I've experienced from Heath, and his partner Paul Forest, who now run X Works Service in Kirkham (near Blackpool) has been faultless, and I would highly recommend them.

As far as the car goes, it's FABULOUS! I'm still running in the engine after its' rebuild so I'm taking it easy, but looking forward to driving it to Portugal next year!!

Have many plans to upgrade the suspension etc, and the Tuscan forum has been extremely helpful on this front. Thanks for the advice!

For all those who scoffed at me changing from a 911 to a Tuscan......ha ha ha! Do not regret it one bit, and think Santa has come a few months earlyxmas

thumbup Well done. First class decision making and Heath is a top bloke so if he's looking after you I'm sure everything will be good.

Heath and Paul are really good, I know he has a couple more Ex-Factory Tuscans for sale...A Chamleon Green ('03) and a Silver (Y Plate).

Cheers everyone for the commentssmile

been really enjoying myself running in the engine(It's pretty hard trying to keep below 4k) but really have to sort out the handling as it's a bit interestinglaugh.
Drove to Edinburgh last weekend,460 round trip from Manchester, and once you turn off the M74 at junct 13 you get on the a702!!!Great driving road especially when it's quiet!!!but it really confirmed to me that some modifications will have to take place.biggrin
It's running everything standard at the moment so any comments/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.ideaidea
