Someone I know at work has recently put coloured bulbs in his sidelights so they are red when turned on. He is convinced that this is perfectly legal as long as you don't change the colour of the main headlights. I am not so sure. Is he correct or is this illegal?

Red must be visible from the rear, white and from the front and orange from all sides.
Blue and Red visible from the front is illegal.

This is half correct and depends upon two conditions:
1) The front and rear off-side (right-hand) lights must be green, not red.
2) The car must be parked in Tewksbury.

Apologies to anyone who's car is or was immersed in the recent floods.

Actually you can have any colour you like in any combination particularly with rearranged lettering and numerals on the registration plate.
Why ? cos the cops do not bother thats why?
