Hi All.

I'm fed up with mytyre's rubbish delivery times and getting charged stupid money to fit a tyre to a rim.

Can anyone recomend a reasonably price tyre fitter to me that can supply tyres too? my usual brands are Bridgestone, Goodyear and Khumo.

There used to be a mobile one I used when I lived in the midlands, he was very competitive, there must be somthing similar in this neck of the woods?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Scott

www.mytyres.co.uk come from Hanover but have never let me down + a local ATS who excepts cash for fitting whistle

Cambridge Performance Tyres are also pretty good.

Our local ATS puts tyres & rims together for £10 cash - we think that's a bit steep. They charged Scott £30 for one tyre once. We want to pay less than £10 a wheel.

£10 a bit steep? yikes What's the tyre fitter supposed to live on, fresh air?

Got it for £5.00 a wheel before now back in the Midlands. Think mobile tyre fitters may be the way forward. yes

I've used Huntingdon Performance Tyres in Godmanchester before for the TVR - very good job and good prices. Fitted Falkens for me but able to get pretty much any brand.

The guy said he isn't allowed to do it so I can only go when his boss is not there! £10 is reasonable to me, Makes a corner priced at £215. Cambridge Performance Tyres can do it for £210 but have trouble getting stock (245/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza).

i've always found cambridge performance tyres to be expensive, and their service patchy at best.
i used to find the little tyre place behind the masrshall mitsubishi dealers on newmarket road to very cheap on most makes, and usually open to cash deals on the fitting of tyres to rims and puncture repairs.

Stapletons in Huntingdon have always done us alright (just down the road from the BMW garage).

Scottie, wander down to the place opposite tescos first thing on a saturday morning and leave it with them whilst you nip into Ely. They've always done a decent job for not much money swapping tyres onto my track rims.

BTW it's also worth remembering that George Polley Motorsport are only 10 minutes up the road so if you want yokies they are absolutely the place to go.

Event mobile tyres are pretty good if they come as far as Ely.

If not I find A14 in Bury pretty reasonable.

Also Cambridge Performance have been good in the past.

I have always used HiQ (also called Ely Tyres) just opposite Tesco in Ely. They have always been the cheapest I could find for supply and fit of various different tyres. Their no is: 01353 669990

Not sure what they are called- but there is a Yokohama motorsport specialist out on the fens near Manea... Very, very competitive pricing... Bought a pair of Yoko Advans for the Caterham c. 30% cheaper than any other quotes.

Yorries in Wisbech - excellent prices and top brands. Everyone I know in the fens uses him. He'll price match, and no bull.
