My warranty expired on 21 July and I renewed it after some soul-searching. Booked the car ('99 996 C4) in for an annual service at OPC and it turns out the front diff is leaking (£500ish to fix) and one of the cylinder banks has a significant leak and engine needs to be stripped down and stuff fixed/replaced. 'Mini rebuild' the Tech called it (£2,500)!

So, I'm quids-in already! smile

Although now I'm slightly worried as this will be the last year I can get the warranty. Car has 108k miles on the clock at the mo.

Wait until it's all in bits when you get the call saying that it's not covered because of a technicality and you'll have to pay up to have it reassembled and/or fixed and that if you'd like to sue them they'd be happy to put you on to their solicitors...

...Naah! I've had a fair amount of warranty work carried out by both Chiswick and Reading over the last two or three years and have never had any problems/quibbles. smile

Thanks for the positivity though! wink
