430 F1 coupe or 360CS

Hi, I have just sold my F1 360 spider, which I loved driving hard, mainly due to feeling a bit self concious when the roof was down( although I'v had spiders for the last 12 years), and now beleve I need a tin top. I have discounted the G. due to the belief(falsly ?)that the E gear clutch is a problem, and can`t decide on a 360cs or to stretch the budget and go for an early 430. Can anyone who has driven both offer an opinion ? Also, is the CS any more fragile than a stock 360? Thanks.

Was just having a chat with the Ferrari mechanics today on the merits of the 360cs v the 430. It seems the 360cs is still the one they really like to drive.

Having owned 2 x 360 CS and 4 x 430. I have to say that the 360 CS is the better car. Ok it down on about 70 BHP. But the car is so well balanced.

It has soul and passion. If you enjoy driving your car it has to be a 360 CS. How ever if you are after a daliy drive then the 430F1 is the way to go.

Also had a Stradale before the 430, Stradale wins hands down.

Have to say the CS is a drivers car. having changed my 360 to a cs, and then after driving the 430, its the cs that gets my vote.

Does the cs feel noticably quicker acceleration wise, or is it just a tighter general feel (compared to a stock 360). Is the 430 gearbox any better/quicker than the cs ?

More mid range in the 430 definately. Stradale feels more planted on twisties and at high speed IMO
