I was at Rockingham on Sunday supporting a GirlsBike2/No Limits trackday, where the profits were going to Breast Cancer research.

I was persuaded by my friends from the SuperBikesForum to go on track with my bike. They even produced spare leathers and boots so that I had no more excuses not to.

Am I glad that they did as it was a fantastic experience. bounce

I thoroughly recommend everyone to at least try it once.

Here's a few photos of me on track enjoying myself.

Sort of reminds me of a guy i saw throwing a Triumph Rocket around Donington last year.

I wasn't the slowest either, except maybe in the corners when I was wearing my foot-boards, engine guards and silencers away, but I caught virtually everything up on the straights and I out-braked most of them into the corners as well.

I would have loved to see the look on their faces when I passed some of them who were on their trackday bikes. yikes

I even passed John Reynolds on his Rizla Suzuki, OK he was giving someone instruction at the time, but it did feel good. cool

Yeah, it's a 1996 Royal Star XVZ1300, one of the first official ones that Yamaha brought in as a trial (only 25 that year and 75 the following year)and has been ultra reliable.

It has now done 55,000 miles (I slowed down a bit when my late wife was very ill) and it has taken me all over the place such as the Shetlands, the Arctic Circle, Auschwitz (Poland) and other parts of Europe.
