2008 Driver Line up
Discussion
I can't see many seats left for next year - and we've not even entered silly season yet !
Toro Rosso - So Speeds gone
Vettel was always going to replace Speed so no surprises really
Bourdais - still an unknown - this season ain't going so well for him. He's got a bad attitude at the moment - toys and prams etc
So a possible seat for someone (if Luizzi gets the boot)
Mclaren & ferrari won't be changing
BMW - look set to stick with Heidfeld & Kubica
Williams.. Rosberg but I guess Wurz is going to be replaced by someone although he's currently out performing Rosberg (it certainly won't be Karthikeyan - unless frank is desperate for the money)
Honda have confirm Rubens and Jenson
Red Bull have confirmed DC - not sure about Webber (totally overrated)
So really the only seats that are up for grabs are
Toyota and Renault
Ralfy has to be out but i guess they'll keep Trulli for some continuity
Renault - Fisichella & Kovalainen but Flav is itching to get Piquet Jr into the car
So - Fisi to Toyota ?
or perhaps Piquet to Williams on loan - there's a nice tie in with dad?
I notice that Nelson Piquet Jr is always on the pit wall (savvy kid)
Aguri - can't see them getting rid of Sato nor Davidson - both doing good jobs at the moment
And of course the Spyker team are happy to accept anyone with a big cheque at the moment

Unless Fisichella is some kind of testing / development messiah, I can't see him in the same seat next year. All I ever hear on the Renault radio is Fisi being told to press on...with no noticeable change in his pace.
Arguably, his career is panning out in much the same way as Ralf "left-over DNA" Schumacher.

I thought:
Webber was confirmed at Red Bull
Ralf was pretty sure of a drive at Torro Rosso
Heikki should stay - he's improving and he seems to be pretty highly rated.
Toyota should go for a young charger, swapping Ralf for Fisi is no real change.
Davidson's seat is under threat, he's being out performed by Sato, who we all know is fairly second rate.
Could Piquet go to Williams if Renault don't use him?

IF Hamilton won the title, I'd not be surprised to see Alonso back in a Renault.
No way - Renault are nowhere - no investment and every chance of them pulling out of F1 in forthcoming yearsI'm sure Flav will stay - god knows what he would do without the F1 engine sounds at his Billionaire Club (very odd - they play his voice and engine sounds and the occasional "Flavio" over the top of the music)

Ralf at Red Bull - can't see it - they don't have the money - isn't he the 2nd highest paid driver in F1 $22million p/a - but he's offered to drive next year for less than $5million (hell of a pay cut - but that might save his career)
"Competing in his eleventh year in Formula One, Ralf has accrued six wins from 166 starts, had many a big accident and has been often outpaced by his team mates"
I like to see Davidson get a 2nd year - he's a good driver - can't help but feel that Sato must be getting the preferential treatment. Davidson was bloody quick at BAR/Honda
I really like the sound of Piquet at Williams - makes perfect sense
So you can't say that he's a one circuit specialist!
When he's up, Ralf is great behind the wheel, but when he's down, he's pants.
I'd say that Fisi is far from past it. His drive in the USGP showed how he can charge, and still race. He may not have the ultimate pace of some, but he is certainly a racer who enjoys racing.
Webster - well. If it doesn't break at his hand, it usually goes fast. The trouble is - he usually breaks it.
Musical chairs - Fisi and Trulli at Toyota - a good pairing.
Prodrive - expect this to be a McLaren B-Team by any other name!! Paffett most likely in with a shout here. I'd like to say Paffett and DiResta, but who knows.
Spyker, who's got the money.... No, not Jos Verstappen.

I think Fisi and Trulli is a real possibility - didn't they replace each other at Renault at one point ?
Pro Drive - yep Gary's got a really good chance of getting in there - how many brits in F1 for next year !! (don't forget James Rositer)
