Wave at other drivers in TVR, but Smart?

Yes I do wave or acknowledge other TVR drivers I see and all do the same back to me. When I drive the smart I didn't expect the same type of "membership" acknowledgement, but yes another man in a Smart fortwo waved at me and then a few miles along the road a man in a Smart Roadster also waved, I was just surprised they do that. Don't think they'll be waving in the same way next time I go past them in the Cerbie, or should I purchase a 'My other cars a Smart Car' for the TVR. Does anyone else get waves when they are in their other car? Does happen in the Kia!

People on the Smart forums get very upset when people don't wave to them.

Some Smart owners do wave, but many don't it seems. Personally, I wave to other Roadsters if they wave first, otherwise I don't bother. I wouldn't wave at a ForTwo or ForFour unless they waved at me, which they never have so I don't lose any sleep over it.

I too have a Cerbera and a Smart car, and yes I get waves from both TVR and Smart owners, I must say though TVR owners do flash or give a cool type of wave, but the Smart owners give a very excited type of wave which boarders on the embarrassing type.

My wife has had a smart for about 5 years, and she gets waved at all the time.

I used to get waved at loads in my Smart but it seems to be a much rarer thing these days.

It's true that the Smart wave does tend to be slightly more exuberant though...

Those in Discoverys won't wave at anyone, most of the time they don't even realise there is anyone else on the road!

I suppose they enjoy their motors as much as we do ours...

I saw about 30 of the little Smarts in a convoy near my place a couple of months ago - all seemed to be in bright and garish colours and they seemed to be having a whale of a time judging by the big grins. They certainly turned heads as well....

It will always be a Smart though wont it

I have a couple of modded 4x4's (range rover and a suzuki jeep)I wave and get waves from any other modded 4x4, rare us mud pluggers are!

(Obviously I wave to other TVR's, but only when im in the cerb!)
