Sagaris Saturday
Discussion
Well, it was a tough decision but I am sadly going to part with the T350 on Saturday. The good news is that I am getting a Sagaris in its place! I'm pretty excited already but hoping that people can enlighten me further as to what I am in for.
Had a cracking test drive earlier this week and the car just felt better planted than the T350 and also better put together. Did not feel quite as quick though as my T350 has the 4.0 S engine anyway. However, I still think I have made the right decision. The Sagaris seems to be becoming a very sought after, rare car, if nothing else!
Off to Edinburgh in it on Saturday morning. Can't wait!

You know what? I found that too with the Sag after having a 4L RR engine in the T350. It seems to have a milder 4K rev punch and a yank the neck to the headrest feel. (Or I've driven a 1.2 Corsa hirecar for too long in the interim).Had a cracking test drive earlier this week and the car just felt better planted than the T350 and also better put together. But, boy, does it handle better. So much more confidence. Tramlines a bit more having 255's on the front.
Build quality. No different. I meant we're talking TVR here. Same old, same old.
Watch the front though, it's well low. I've given up going some routes over speed humps as it bottoms out no matter what the speed.
All said, you are really going to enjoy it.

I did'nt have the pleasure of owning a T350 before my Sag but did have a Tamora which runs the same chassis/suspension (I think!) and I agree with your comments about the Sag feeling more planted. One of the biggest improvements for me was the slightly higher geared steering (is that the right way round!?) with the Sag being 2 turns L2L compared to the Tamora/T350 being 1.75. I still find the steering beautifully direct and responsive but without the tendancy to dart across the road when you hit an undulation slightly off-guard. On a bumpy country road the Sag suspension feels more accomplished and absorbs the road well but the point about the low front is worth remembering. Mine has 'kissed' the tarmac a couple of times in depressions when being driven sportily, at least I assume it is the front catching and not the tyre on the inner arch. No problems with speed-humps (yet) but have caught the front coming out of a car park and along a farm drive. It does'nt really worry me too much though. Can always be fixed if it comes to it! Great car though.
I too came from a 3.6 T350 to a Sag.
Totally agree that it feels so much more planted than the T350 ever did, but still gonna get full geo set up by topcats racing.
Must admit that i prefered the free revving nature of the 3.6. And TBH the Sag doesnt feel any quicker than the T350 hopefully the upcoming upgrade of CR box and 3.9 diff should help in that respect, that set up in daftlads Sag felt ballistic in comparison to mine.
