Anyone know much about this?

Horrid paint job and interior but surely this is a good price?

He seems somewhat confused about S spec, it doesn't include daft paint jobs, halfords bucket seats, fire extinguishers or roll cage, the S was a bonafide model of it's very own.

Had it been a real S then it would look cheap......

However as an E it will still be great fun to drive, I wouldn't look at it as an investment mind, to get that back to a standard E would cost a lot of money as no doubt he has binned all the parts removed.

I assume that he meant that it had had the engine uprated "S spec", particularly as this is obviously meant to be a competition car and not that it was an actual 911S.

Still seems cheap to me....if you can stand the look of the thing.

It's almost impossible to value a non-standard car like this. Prices of unmolested original 2.4S cars (1972-73) are currently going through the roof i.e £40-50K is not unrealistic. But the value all depends on history and condition. This particular 911 E is so far away from its original factory spec that it would never be a good investment. It may well be worth the asking price, but it's probably not a bargain.
