Seat belt, serious.
Discussion
Dear all,
A young family known to us was involved in a side-on collision on the M25 10 days ago.
Tragically, their 3 year-old son was killed on impact whilst appropriately seated in rear seat.
The main point I wish to make here is that the cause, was that the seat belt cut him.
The lesson out of all this is, I am currently looking for a soft protective sheath to go over the seat belt, and think that all should consider this.

What a tragedy. Commiserations to the family and friends.
I know the following won't help the family, but last night on 'Dragons Den Revisited' or whatever its called, there was a guy who had invented a simple clip to hold the diagonal seat belt strap down over the shoulder of a child in a child seat. The clip prevented the diagonal seat belt strap from running across the neck or face of the child. This product was backed by two dragons and is now on the market. IMO it is such a simple, but effective, solution to a very real problem.
You can find it here. No association etc.
