Can anyone help me with removing r at least lifting the Centre Consol out of the Car. Its a 93L & I need to access the wires that come up through the back to see if these are causing my Odometer problems but cant find a way of lifting it without breaking.

Thanks
Matt

the are two screws at the front on the furthest point in front of the side bolsters and there are two screws under the flap in the triangle tray type thing to the rear...after removing then it should 'just lift off'

If you have the early gear / door / brake all in the same leather gaiter:

There is only a single screw at the back, the front has 2 lohg pieces that slot into the transmission tunnel profile (where the chasss bolts & main earth are).
You need to slacken off the handbrake so it lifts up nearly vertical. Then slide the console back until the 'hooks' under the front tunnel sides are released. then it can be raised whilst jigling the handbrake. Shortening those protuberances a little makes it easier to refit & remove in the future.
