That was me. I run a tool hire business in the town, just on my way home. Try to use the coupe as much I can, shame I can't quite stop the rain completely from coming in. I'm glad you thought it sounded nice, can't really get a true sound inside apart from a continuous drone a certain speeds. Cheers mate.

It's a G20 coupe with a ford 2.5 V6 duratec fitted. The only one about on the road I think, at the moment (hint hint JamesG20).

Like to see some pictures of that if you have any ?? Must be pretty lively with a modern V6 in it ?? What sort of power does it push out ??

I'm trying to download some pictures of the car at the moment.

Power wise the engine is a standard mondeo ST24 lump so is running at 170 hp, the engine managment hasn't been entirely set up so probably get a little more. I'm building a ST200 spec engine aswell. I hope eventually to run a rotrex supercharger as there is plenty of room in front of the block, i could turbo but room along each side of the engine is tight.

Need to finish the rest of the car before that though, interior, re-fabricate the rear to push the wheels out in the arches and complete the front end. I have a gt spec bonnet to modify and fit which is 50mm wider on both sides. Try to get a bit of an aggressive look. Probably not to everyones taste.

Sounds interesting!

Do you work out in the business park opposite CS Interglas?

I work in Long Street. I occasionally bring the TVR so, if you spot a green one about, give me a wave!

If you fancy meeting up sometime, I'd be more than happy to have a look around your wee beastie. biggrin

Is that a kind of dull green Griffith? I once gave him a wave when he parked up the top of Acreman street. There's sometimes a blue Chimaera about but very rarely.

I have a V8S - see profile for pic.

Hopefully see you around sometime.

Hopefully you can see the images below of the G20 Coupe. I hadn't finished the interior, things have changed inside added alot of carbon fibre.

Simply stunnning. The car ginetta should be making from the coupe.... Sticking number plates on the junior car is not enough in my opinion. It needs doors, locks interior resolving to a decent standard, which your car addresses. Well done for sticking it out, I'm utterly gutted I'm not doing the same....

I was planning on doing the same, from a new chassis but was met with resistance.

I had even designed and made a prototype hinge system using lotus hinges and a full working lock set up. I'd resolved as you have the door second skin with shut lines and gutters that would work... Not only that i'd found a moulding company to build a full carbonfibre tub interior which i'd designed, which would have dealt with the headlining problem...

I've got a feeling your car may stay unique, as i don't think ginetta want to develop it. It's a shame as you've done most of it for them.
