Well I'm back chaps with TVR!! I had a S2 some few years back and my last car was a Porsche 944 S2 Cab, which was a nice car, very reliable but no one waves at you!!

This might seem a bit vain, but I like being waved at by fellow enthusiasts. Porsche owners just don't seem to have that fire. People even wave and give you the thumbs up on the motorways, who don't have a TVR?

Anyway, its a 4ltr HC and came from Plymouth, from a nice chap. Its in very good condition, 58,000 miles and did nearly 30 mpg on the gentle drive home to Cambridge.
I'll see if i can get some pics up some time.

Great car to drive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 mpg!

Well done on getting a Chimaera, but you'd better 'improve' your driving style - 30 mpg from a TVR is a disgrace! Try to get it down to an average of 20 within 6 months!

Have fun!

I'll do my best to drag it down to 20 then?

Oh! the brakes are not to brilliant, I presume the front can be worked on?
It it true the front are XR3 callipers, can they be upgraded?

The early 4 litres had 240mm fronts ( as used on the xr3) but not all were exactly the same. Later cars had 260mm fronts. Both set ups have a slight rear bias which can be improved by bringing the bias forward a bit imho. Loads of threads on this if you do a search

Yeah...thought I'd pop over for the day tomorrow! Not doing anything else and the weather is supposed to be hot, so it seems a waste to let a rare hot sunny day go! cool

It's not too far for me either smile
