Hi chaps, i have 3.5 efi classic, wil a 3.9 rad be ok to fit? seen a bargain one for sale

Land Rover computer says there are a variety of different rads depending on age and transmission.

What's the part number on the rad you're looking at? Should be ESR**** or just ESR**

yeahn it'll be fine

they're all much of the same size although you may have to bung up some oil cooler holes.

Sorry have to disagree with Pugwash.
My 3.5 has a bare rad with the aircon condensor in front of that and the tranny cooler in front of that. A year later and they are all in the one rad so beware.

a/c condenser were always seperate- they've never been integrated in a rad.

if it comes to it he just runs a 3.9 rad with the engine oil cooler part unused- it won't make any difference to the radiator.

the only thing you can't do is put a 3.5 rad in a 3.9 as it would be lacking oil cooler. having said that it;s a 30 second job to take the sandwich plate out of the oil filter and not use the oil cooler at all.
