Plan to invite a few pals to join me & enjoy the spectacle again this year (far too nervous to try it)... is it this coming weekend?

Regards

Indeed it will be. I shall be mostly driving a Peugeot 106. Or a Jeep Cherokee if the one I am seeing this evening is any good.

greeny,
See you're from Oxford. It's a large sprint event held on the old Abingdon airfield - now Dalton Barracks on the east side of the A34 (Marcham interchange).
Large range of cars, single seaters, sports and sport saloons. Last year the Lancia Stratos owners club were in attendance. It's a good day out. Entrance to the airfield is from Honeybottom lane, opposite garage between Abingdon and Wootton.

Just off the A34 close to the A415 junction, south of Oxford. It's a combined sprint/rally/autotest weekend open to the public, raising money for charity. Sprint is on Saturday but there's other stuff going on on Sunday too.

If you spot a spectacled chap, probably with a little video camera, come & say hi. If weather dry will come over in the 500, possibly a pal in his silver V8S, and who knows there's a rumour a Griff2be showing HIS NEW CAR !?!?!

Hmmph. Not looking good right now. I need to take the Roadsport A to Suffolk. My new car is near Donnington. That wouldn't be too bad (shuffle over to Donny from Cambridge), except that I would need to go back to Reading to get another trailer. Effing logistics look like they are going to defeat me.

It would be nice to turn up to Abingdon with a Tuscan racer - worry a few of the competitors. They don't need to know it hasn't got an engine yet!!

Edited to say: I have put the Caterham delivery off until Sunday now, and am picking up the Tuscan tomorrow morning. Time permitting I'll stop off at the Sprint in the afternoon on my way down the A34, so, yes, I will have my new car with me

See y'all there.

yeah, I now live in Abingdon, although I have to work in the morning, I really would like to get there later. Any one got an idea of the schedule for the day/weekend?
