Chances of getting a GT2?
Discussion
If you are talking about one of the new 997GT2s, unlikely unless you have a history of porsche ownership, a letter of intent with your dealer, plus a £15k deposit.
There has been speculation about the car having it's supply restricted to even less cars than were sold in 996 form. Whilst supply may be restricted in the first year, I don't believe Porsche would have added all the safety stuff to the car to make it more marketable, to then go and sell less of the cars than the previous hard core model.

I was chatting to an OPC about the GT2 last week. They said that they have been told that there will be 30 coming into the country. He thought that this will prove to be a per year figure, but that production will only run for a couple or 3 years (like last time, which makes sense - when is the next itteration of 911 due?).
So with OPCs saying that they will be very lucky if they get allocated more than 1 of them, your chances are surely not good if your deposit is not already waiting in line

Thought you were after a Lambo Ash?
Or is the lure of Pork itch in need of scratching?
After a Noble you need something special.Or is the lure of Pork itch in need of scratching?

Look at the figures for the GT2 and I am sure you will agree.
The Lambos are great, but the GT2 is built for the job, seriously fast.
Are you down 'The Railway' next monday night?

Just wait a couple of years and they'll be around £70k, save yourself £60k
I know what you mean, but I am like a kid, can't wait.
I just want to know I can have it before I let the Noble go, if indeed I do let her go.
I ma looking for a car with the performance as the Noble, or close, but the reliability of an Ox.
Now, let me think, engineering, who would be good at that?
I can only think of one manufacturer that meets that, Porsche!
And looking at the figures, it is behind 0-62 but only just, but from 100 up I can not think of anything mainstream that will keep up with the GT2.
