Alright there P'headers, I've been been a member of P'heads for a while but never been on a forum in my life so go easy on uz!smile

I've recently bought a 1998 e36 328 sport to keep the miles off my 964. It has a fault though, in that the rev limiter cuts in at about 5200rpm in any gear. I'm not very often revving that high but I would like the missing revs when trying to fend off those pesky clio 172ssmile

I'm guessing my local bmw dealer may have a pluggy in thing, but I'm also guessing it'll cost a bit too, and since my 964s a bit of a wallet hoover i'd rather not turn the bm into one. Any ideas amigos?

A friend has a 1997 323 coupe I can whip the air flow meter off to eliminate that. Does anyone know if its the same as mine to save me getting my hands dirty!?

Right I'm off, thanks in advance for any help and hi to any fellow lemans goers, which I'm guessing is most of you. The roundabout is dead, but long live the hawaiin tropic girls!!

The E46 has a protection mode which limits the revs in the event of an ecu error, not sure if the E36 had this, but i'd get a dealer to plug and and have a looky.

Cheers matey, expected I'd need to take it to dealers. I normally don't hesitate with stuff like that, my cars get what they need, but like I said its only a work horse. I'll get it checked in due course. Ta very much.smile

You can always check with a decent independent, doesn't have to be main dealer.
