This year, mostly I will be camping in a field.

However I feckin loathe camping, so how do I organise to be in a lovely chateau just around the corner etc. Then I can visit for the loud bits, get pissed and go back to a nice bed.

So how do I sort that out?

Have you not read 'Decadent camping' by Leslie Phillips, with Illustrations by Salvador Dhali, forward by Terry Thomas

just because you are roofed in canvas doesnt mean you cant enjoy the finer things in life.

And if that still doesn't convince you then I think they're taking bookings now for 2007?

I've been staying at the Hotel Campanile a few times, good location, crap rooms, interesting tv, but they ramp the prices up.

They always have a few cancellations, or you can reserve for next year.... like I didn't..... arse. Back to camping.

thanks to the ingenious plummer in our ranks we have a fully portable heated shower . . .with authentic victorian rose and curtain, it will hook straight onto a mains tap and has an inline gas fuelled heater . we also have a self inflating double airbed, not rocket science, but handy when your plastered!

we hired an american motorhome thats being delivered to the campsite and plugged in, marble bathroom, dvd, stereo, fridge freezer, aircon and central heating in case we get cold, slide out sitting area .. this thing is massive, 40ft by 9ft without the slide out bit, hopefully it will rain and we can tell everyone to piss off......

Gimme a dusty sweaty sleeping bag and a slightly warm bottle of beer soaked in fish ice any day.

Well...any day in mid June that is. The rest of the year I'd hate it but for some reason Le mans wouldnt quite be the same without it.

So lets leave our crappy offices/workshops/meetings/workvans/computers behind and all feck off down there RIGHT NOW!

(think Im getting a tad over excited!)
