Hi all...

Im interested in a respray for my 86 S3 (calypso red) as the lacquer is coming off in some areas and the paints also going a little bit 'milky'. does anyone know how much this would cost as a rough figure or has anyone had one done at a place they would recomend bearing in mind i live in essex in the UK?

Cheers for the help

I used autotec in Milton Keynes for some paint work on my SE. They did a good job at a good price and know what they are doing with fibreglass. Call Gary on 01908 502638 or 07956 879697. He'll be happy to give you a quote if you take it down.

I have also had mine resprayed at a very good price up here in Merseyside.
Also you could try this link, where Steve Wright is having his car completely resprayed with progress pics.

I think he's somewhere down your neck of the woods but hopeless with places south of Birmingham.

Hope this helps.

I recommend prestige coachworks in Clacton on sea. They offer a firstclass service and have many years of experience with fibreglass cars. It sound like you have exactly the same problem as myself. As Dave said take a look at my site to see the progress. My car should be sprayed in the final colour over then next 3 days.

Thanks for the praise. If other Esprit owners find it useful or interesting then its worth while.

BTW Kylie, I've gone for Green/Amber Ecstasy flip over Metalic Green. Hard to explaine but take a look at the second colour page or the latest sprayshop pics posted today. If all goes well should have some better images of the whole car by Sunday. Its a little more unusual but not to 'in your face'.
