On the way up to Rockingham my temp gauge started to read lower than it should and eventually read nothing at all.
A couple of people at Rockingham said this is probably the capillary pipe and it is a job for speedy cables.

Does anyone have any other thoughts on this?

Nope, 'tis fooked. You could get it rebuilt, but you might get a quicker result from an off the shelf gauge with an electical sender.

SPA elec guage is the way forward. If you buy direct it comes with all the sensors and wiring, there is another PHer with these for all of his guages, he advised the senders are a direct replacement, sadly I can't remember his name tho.......

Mark, I'm the one who also has the Spa gauge, I don't know if you noticed it when we were at the Nurburgring.

Mark, I had the one below fitted by a TVR main dealer. You also have to install a small user button, so you can set the gauge to the warning temperatures and pressures that you want. This sits under the gauge and is not visible when driving.

I ordered a white/blue one (I have blue lights on the existing gauges), with a brushed aluminium surround (there isn't a shiny option). It's much more accurate that the analog version.
