getting started...
Discussion
im fed up of all my hardwork in my current (and previous) employment getting me nowhere.
i have been thinking about it for a while and i would really like to start something of my own.
i have the motivation and willingness to put in alot of hard work and effort, but i just cannot think of a business idea...
how did all you guys thinks of your business ideas? where do you start?

Last week I felt the same....
Now I'm my own boss. It's pretty scary but I've already matched my salary one week in. Just have to keep it going now:O
I'm now selling products the company I used to work for sell. I just called one of the suppliers and said "If I set up on my own, will you guys supply me?" They said "Of course we will!".
That's all it took.
Now I have virtually no overheads so, for example, if I sold something for £500 before I would have got £50. Now I get £250-£300. I just have to concentrate now on getting the customers and all should go pretty well.
Bear in mind you can set up a trade account with just about any importer/manufacturer/distributer then concentrate on selling said goods retail.
...and good luck.

From the age 18 I was sitting in the pub with mates thinking how we could make ourselves rich and retire early watching all our money go behind the bar of a friday and saturday night. Took me 10 years to actually do it mainly due to not having the money or the means to do it before then.
I would say find something you like doing or are good at and go for it. It doesn't necessarily have to be something you liek doing AND are good at. If you have an interest in doing something then you can in most cases learn the business.

I got fed up of being just another number, and also of the daily grind doing the same things all the time. Took the gamble a few months ago and wished I'd done it years ago! Although I've not yet advertised and my website is very basic, I'm already earning the same as I was when in full time employment, and best of all, everyday is different.
