Hi Everyone!!!
Last night i bought greeny12's immaculate 04 Monaro which has had quite a few mods and is a wow to drive!!!!
I've got a Crossfire Startech 3.8 and wanted something different but with 4 seats and when i saw this blue rocket for sale i had to go and see it, so after the long drive down to London from Aberystwyth armed with wads of bits of paper with pics of the Queen on them a quick spin was all i needed to part with the dosh!!
It really is a great car to drive and on the road from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth it got copious amounts of wellie that i don't think the previous owner had a chance to do, given his home location!!....we averaged 69.7mph coming back and she did a smidgeon over 23mpg but hey, who gives a dinkum about the fuel when i now have a smile that will have to be surgically removed)

Hope to meet some others owners soon, i'll have a look at this forum to see what goes on....good luck and huge smiles to u all, especially if u bring your motors to the sort of camera-less roads we have over here!!!

biggrin I see the Monaro didn't come with an Aussie phrase book, dinkum roughly translates as "genuine"

Depends how it is used,

Dinkum? translates as "Are you quite sure that is correct old boy?"

Fair dinkum mate = "That is absolutely certain my good man"

I don't know about phrasology, but I can agree with Whizzman that it will take a team of dedicated consultants to get the grin off my face anytime soon whenever, I think about, see or drive my new Monaro!!!

Have it.
