Ron has stated that FA is free to leave for 2008 if he cant accept Mclarens 'equal' driver status.

Lets hope so! He is acting like a kid, so what if his younger team-mate is beating him? He must deal with it, Piquet did with Mansell and Prost did with Senna. hmmmmm,
bye bye FA i reckon.

That isn't what Ron has "stated" in the quotes in that article. That is a bit of "spin" put on the story by the journalist who wrote the piece for ITV.What Ron is actually saying is that if any employee disagrees with the values of the team then they have a choice about whether or not to stay.
Same would apply to FA, LH or any one of the behind-the-scenes crew.

Either way i'm pretty sure Ron was making the point that anyone who doesn't want to work in the team's interest knows where the door is.

Either way, considering how little he's seen behind the Mclaren wheel the sponsorship of Santander is clearly for Alonso. Perhaps they may stick around for Pedro if he was in a race seat but he doesn't have the same lure as Alonso and the chances of Alonso going and Pedro taking his place aren't likely.jasonc said:
McLaren will have no trouble getting sponsorship for LH now he has shown he can win. Let's face it - even Jenson Button gets sponsorship and he has achieved effectively nothing....
thats a great idea swap Fernando for Button , two english drivers in the team next year
and button will kick Hamilton into touch ........to as he quoted
""join the monkeys at the back of the grid""

"ADIOS AMIGO" or what ever, not only is LH faster but also mentally stronger than the stroppy spaniard, If this is the case, it smacks of sour grapes!!
