I mentioned before the fiberglass part that encompasses the headlight came off and was wrecked a few weeks ago. I've been in touch with Fieron and TVR parts and they don't have them.

Has anyone got any ideas where to get one from or has someone had a headlight conversion and got the old cover lying around?

thanks

Derek

What about Bell hill garage or Douglas Valley both
do secondhand TVR parts, or TVR Power are the main agents for parts.

Although don't expect them to be cheap!

Scrappies they may be, but they know the value of these parts.

Just spoke to the chap at Fibreon and they said 24th of the month for these. I'm hoping to get one from TooTallPaul as I need it this week as the car is getting re-sprayed.

When it was in for the new clutch seals some dithering old fool in a bentley had scraped the back of the car so the garage offered to re-spray the back end rather than a touch up by way of an apology and if i wanted a front end re-spray they'd do it very competitively .......so took them up on the offer. Just need the headlight cover ASAP so they can do it all at the one time. I'm off to Germany next in 2 weeks and i'm driving it down to Manchester next weekend as Joo is working his magic before I go to make sure the Porsches see nothing by the back of the TVR smile

Excellent stuff. The car will be pretty damn perfect soon!
Dont forget that the paint code is wrong under the bonnet (or so I was told by APM) - the right code is written on the paint tin I gave you with the car.

Thanks mate....I mentioned that to the chap at the garage so I hope that he passes that on to the spray painter......or they'll have to do the whole car wink

Apart from the battery which was goosed the car is running brilliantly and can't to see how it's running after joo has had his wicked way with it. drove it from the airport back home on Friday night.....10 miles max and ended up taking 3 hours due to a slight de-tour smile It's just so much fun to drive.

you not bought another one yet? you know you want to.

You got the battery replaced then? That has fixed it?
Still resisting. I am having problems resisting. I should be completing on the new house in Aug or Sept and so will then have a better idea how much cash I have got left and whether a new car is on the table. I will also know where in the country I am working and what rate I am going to be on. all these variables impact what and when I buy. If I have a load of dosh I wouldnt mind a 996 TT. But like the idea of a R32 Golf for everyday and a lateish (2002+) cerb in the garage. BUT if I work away from home then I wont have time at the weekends to enjoy it - what with kids, wife , DIY and mountain biking.
