Went to my Chimera last night after leaving it in the work basement for a week. The key FOB will not deactivate and allow me to open the doors. I ran across the street and replaced batteries, still nothing. Loving wife drove to the office with Spare FOB and this does not work.
I assume the battery is almost dead although the light in the car on the steering column is still flashing.
If I open the car will the alarm activate?
Will it disengage using the immobiliser key?
I want to check and recharge the battery what is teh best way forward. frown
Thank you for any advise.

If the battery's low it can upset both the alarm and immobiliser. You'll need to disconnect and recharge the battery. When you reconnect it the alarm may go off, but should be silenced by the remote fob.

If you recharge the battery without disconnecting it, it will most likely not clear the alarm.
