ie just typing
www.pistonheads.com
doesn't create a link automagically.
Bugger. It did that time.
How about
http://www.pistonheads.com/
Hmph...right, I'm clearly going mental then

Ssshh you
Actually, as it happens, forgetting to put the http:// in a manual [url ] tag causes the domain name to be tagged on the end of pistonheads.
eg
Will create a link to http://www.pistonheads.com/www.test.com

My post at the top of that page with the YouTube link. I just copied and pasted the link into the post and it didn't automagically make it a link.

My guess - it only understands URLs starting with http://www. Yours began with http://uk. so I would suspect that's why it didn't pick it up. It also does funny things if you use an "@" symbol e.g. lol@dave becomes a mailto: link. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

My post down the bottom. Can't see any rhyme or reason why tbh.

Looks like putting the link next to quoting is causing the fault (as my test above), though if you put [url] tags around it then it will work all the time.

Or put some text between the link and the end quote, as the example above.
