The up window button stuck on earlier today - i think just as i closed the window and opened the door to get out. Thankfully, i got back in shortly afterwards, otherwise I might have had a flat battery if left for hours.

There was no tactile feel to the button when pressed, so i just jabbed it a few times with my finger and it released and all appears well. However, id like to take a closer look at the switch, maybe change it.

My question is how do i access the switch? Do i pull the silver surround away and access the switch that way, or is there another way?

i had a similar problem with the drivers door internal switch on my Tam, i found that squirting wd40 around it and then rotating the switch for a while loosened it up quite nicly, apparently its something to do with the sleeves the buttons sit in getting stuck hence the lack of "click"

Hi Guys,
I had the same problem on the passenger side. The plastic sleeves behind the silver cover had cone loose, I just pushed them back in 'til they clicked. Add a tiny bit of superglue and hey presto, no more problem. Not sure how to get into release the drivers' side silver cover? Hope this helps once you get in!

Dont pull the silver bit; Take the radio out; you will see two small nyloc nuts that hold the door/window switch from behind the dash to undo, detatch the ribbon cable also.
For the pasenger side take the glove box out its easier on that side though. Think you can push the radio out when removed also

Hope this helps.

Damn, I dont have the removal tools for the radio.

Where are the two nyloc bolts though, are they to the side of where the radio sits in the dash? It's the word 'back' that is confusing me!
