Ah help! Whats this? Under engine bay photos?!

Right this is making a perminant hissing noise and there is green fluid leaking down the inside.

What is it? Is this urgent?

looks like part of aircon or heating thingy?
Would also add anything leaking should be investigated, esp on a TVR.

Ah it makes sense..

My aircon doesnt work.

I tried to have it refilled today and it still didnt work.

So i assume a broken pipe or pump or something which is why after a refil it didnt work.

I will order new parts and get it into garage then

I guess that is the expansion valve for you A/C

The bad news is that if your car is proir to a certain date then you may have R12 gas.
If you have you are screwed as it is now illegal to use, sell or give away R12.

If you are later that the date you have r134a in which case get it fixed, refilled and party on!!

Its going to get new parts and that for it next week to get the aircon working again as in the heat we have had the past couple days its been a bit sticky and hot to drive.

I think the leak is from the pipe going into that tank as you can see where its leaking fluid. Hopefully not to hard to correct.

it wont be R12 gas, thats been illegal for many years now, even if a car does have it then all it needds is to have different valves put on the system to refill with R134a gas.

If you could post some more pics of where the pipes go to and from it would be easier to say if it is related to ac, however it does sound like it is.
