Speeding blitz in Scotland last week?

3 guys in the group of companies I work for got done last week.
Saw 2 guys getting done on the A90 on Friday (watch out for newish dark green 3 series near Perth).
Another colleague said Loch Lomond/Inverary/Oban was crawling with traffic police at the weekend.

Anyone got an idea what seemed to be going on?

Could be the fact that the police were expecting a heavy volume of traffic because of the mountain biking event in Fort William. Mountain bikers can be, "ahem", a bit quick when driving as we mostly consist of young males.

Other than that I couldn't say.
