Hey all,

Have taken the plunge and bought a G.
This website was an amazing resource - while making my decision.

Quick question (s):

Dealer is looking to sell me some kind of paint protection as well as some kind of tyre insurance.
Anyone had any of the above?

Also any insurance broker suggestions.....

Thanks in advance.

First of all congrats on the car smile

Protection film-these guys are the best

Ask for Tom-he post's on here (I think he uses username Guam) and has done many many L-Cars, F-Cars, P-Cars. Everything.

Insurance

Ask for Chris or Michael. If they don't call you back-ring them. They do a lot of insurance for the guys on here and a tip off from Sarbs led me to insure my Testarossa through them at a VERY good price for a Chubb Masterpiece policy.

Tyre insurance? Well, I have heard of this. But I know nothing about it-I can't see how you can insure a tyre and I am sure the "ifs" and "buts" mean you are covered for nothing!

Get them to do a deal on it.

My dad bought a Z4 m coupe and got the paint & interior protectant, top up insurance (so you get the full retail value of the car back when u crash) and tyre insurance, all thrown in to seal a deal.

I can imagine tyres on a lambo are extreemly expensive, hence you can insure them (against punctures and vandalism - not wear and tear).

HTH.

Insure through Chubb Masterpiece. Agreed value so you don't need the GAP insurance. Fully comp on any vehicle and anyone can drive yours.

That sounds like a pretty good deal. Is that with limited mileage though?

Congrats, Shots.
I've had the Paintshield 3M film on mine since new (so two and a half years nearly) and I'm a convert.
Some are not so bothered and think a respray is just as good value (which is "locking the door after the horse has bolted" in my view but each to his own).
Make sure, at the very least, you have the headlight covers protected. these are £1500 a piece and can't be resprayed!
Good luck, fella.
The best insurance against punctures is a spare set of tyres, preferably on a spare set of rims.
Welcome to the fold.

Nope. I went through Quantum plc.

Lambo London sold me some with the Murci. IIRC £200/£300 for 2 years and a maximum of four claims for valdalism or accident. In the year I had it, I drove over two nails. Took it to the dealer and got a brand new tyre each time, no questions asked. (shame it was the same tyre!)
