who else had stuff nicked of camp at mb @ lemans this year?
Discussion
Nothimg new here I'm afraid. I remember having some trivial bits (shades etc) stolen from our XK120 on MB back in the early 1980's. I just wish they'd gone to the effort of unbuttoning the tonneau rather than carving it to pieces with a knife....
I guess the problem these days is that we are all targets because we travel with expensive MP3's, digital SLR's and camera phones....

After I moved on some lowlifes who were taking an interest in the inside contents of the cars, they proceeded to try and sit on the cars .. as they moved away, they ventured into the camp of the liverpool boys only to be met with a polite "F**k Off" from them and a threat of voilence

No, but we had some stuff nicked from Camping Bleu.. Just over the road... Although we did find one of the coolboxes dumped a few metres down the "road".. It was done while we were sound asleep - nothing was going to wake us that night!! Possibly Friday night.. BSJ this year - no problem whatsoever.
Apart from the mud!!!
Apart from the mud!!!In 2007 we had small things - Shades and a coat stolen , they were left out under a big gazebo. I figure the people who kindly sheltered under it in the rain decided to rob us as a thankyou.
In 2006 some gits nicked my go-ped. The thing that annoyed me most was the sticker i had on the back mudguard - "ride it like you stole it"
and they did!!!

We had somebody warn us on MB about stuff being nicked in the very early hours of Sunday morning, we chucked everything of value in our van and locked it up from then on. Think quite a few people were struck by it though unfortunately
Yep, I got a load of clothes nicked from one of the cars. My nice new hiking jacket included!
We were lucky on Saturday night/Sunday morning, one of our chaps was curled up in the gazebo in the dark wrapped in a dark blanket listening to RLM - he looked up to find someone standing in the middle of our encampment - t'other bloked away moved pretty quickly I understand
The folks opposite us and next to us were done over about the same time

In 2005 we, SPS, caught a scrote (algerian looking) going through the tents beside us, we roughed him up a bit, The Zarse crew nicked on of his trainers, then security turned up and said all they could do was escort him off the campsite and take the wallets (english)he had on him to lost property.
We therefore hatched a plan for the future, if we catch anyone theiving we will thourghly search him (or her), seek to return any property, conduct internal searches with a stick, then we will gaffer tape him (or her) to the nearest immoveable post stark bollock naked and, with a permanant marker pen write THIEF across his forehead, Chest, Back etc and leave him or her for any victims of theft to have an oppoinion.
