TVRwedgepages.........
Discussion
You may have noticed that the Wedgepages site has not been updated for quite some time
This takes time, effort and a single minded determination to keep going. I have a new job and I find it extremely difficult to find the time to keep it going.
I have put countless hours and years of work into the site and hopefully created something that people can use as a genuine resource. I also find it amusing that other sites have sprouted up bearing the '...pages' URL name ;-) a homage to the original me thinks...
I still have a number of articles to put online kindly donated by you guys and many, many pictures etc to update. The question is what do I do with it???
I feel that I have put too much work in to simply hand it over to somebody therefore, if somebody would like to make me some sort of offer for the site, the content, URL and the whole shooting match and carry the project forward then mail me.
Otherwise I will try and keep it online for as long as possible under the pixeltechnology/wedge URL for reference for all of new (and old) Wedge owners out there.
Thoughts??

CHICKEN RUN
wohoo..at last...count me in
P.S. I have the knowhow to 'take over' the website or to run it. We'll have to have a chat

I created the original www.welshpowerlifting.com but handed it over to a chap that 'had more time' to run and up date it. It's been 'down' now for 6 months or so with just a 'token' home page, so hay ho to that

I think I have the time and the enthusiasm to give it a go, as my spare time now is TVR Wedge and not Powerlifting (bad knee, shoulder, elbow, back and wrist..!!) to mention but a few

Why don't you keep the name, and just let someone else hoast it and keep it upto date on loan.
Then you can allways take it back if they mess up or they don't have the time anymore.
you can just redirect the name to what ever host of the person running it. then you allways keep ownership of the name.
I can host it if you want.

As you might have seen, it was due to your site that I resolved the Steering Column Bush situation on my Tasmin two weeks ago. If that information had not been available I would not have got the car MOT'd and able to race at Wiscombe (there again I was so off the pace it probably wouldn't have mattered). It would be a shame if the site cannot be kept going.
It would be a pity for the site and all the great content on there to go.
It was nice of Sprint to give the site such a nice review this month ...
I'd be happy to take on hosting/renewing the domain and making any updates, I look after the TVRCC west midlands/warwickshire site and my dad's Griffith SE site. It's fairly much what I do as a job, so it wouldn't be too much hassle for me. Can't say I'd want to pay a lot to buy the domain, if that's what you're looking for, as I don't really agree with domains being sold for profit.
Chris.

Must try and find out more about the 350 SEAC..
Never heard of that until reading Sprint

We are lucky we have this site lets keep it going , Wyn can you take on this huge task , we are all hoping the site continues !
I'd love to take this on but I think it needs the involvement of 2-3 people. Chris's facilities and knowledge combined with a couple of 'assistants' to do the donkey work, I think would work well. 'We' collate the work and look after and update the 'structure' while Chris looks after the hosting/running. We all communicate on every proposed update & the site will prosper and grow.Have a look at the Griff or Chimp pages, email news letters & all

I am gobsmacked that any kind of payment is being sought - I really think the site should be donated
as for the nonsense about SEAC's in sprint ... I need to lie down
As always mate - you never fail to disappoint me! - were you dropped on your head when you were a kid or something? It's easy for you to say your comments fella, its not you who have worked your ass off on it for years - in your spare time (as I do work as well), or paid the hosting fees, or paid the domain fees or paid the postage for the countless letters / phonecalls or given your time for nowt.as for the nonsense about SEAC's in sprint ... I need to lie down
It's gonna take somebody with drive, ambition and the determination to push the site forward - it does take a huge amount of effort and work to get these things done...on a continual basis, and as whoever wants to take it from me will find out, helpers have a habit of melting away..
For instance I always intended there to be a members area (which is set up ready) where 'files' are kept for the good of the Wedge 'massive' containing information that isn't available anyplace else, bloody good discounted offers from suppliers that are (were!) willing to help us guys out.
A parts 'library' of hard to obtain bits available to loan etc along with the public side to the site containing the usual 'Sprint' type stuff.
There needs to be a monthly e-mail shot with the updated news, offers and story's, the BBWF needs to be incorporated under the one umberella with all of the story's, pictures and information posted up....one single point of contact. All hand in hand with the PH forum.
There needs to be some sponsorship of some kind to get the 'Wedge' club up and running all pivoting on the website.....
It ain't as easy as you may think running a site especially one you do in you're spare time.
And then to top it all, last week I got this really shitty e-mail off one guy (Wedge owner) basically telling me that I was a complete w
r for not updating the site often enough!?! FFS!!If you think that you are up to the task then make me an offer.
