I have seen a few Cayenne Turbo' in the last month and have been impressed with the size of the front brakes callipers.
They really stand out on the car and look like they are a foot long.
Yesterday at the Motor Expo,I looked at them compared to the 996TT on display and there is a noticeable difference in size.(smaller on the TT)
Although I understand the TT with Big Reds is the benchmark for production performance car braking,I wonder if fitting the Cayenne brakes to a 911/996 would re-write the rules of physics. It should work out cheaper than the Porsche ceramic brake upgrade, although obviously heavier.

I saw those too. Impressive is one word. Obscene is another!
However, to quote the old adage, it's not the size that counts, but what you do with it.
I doubt they'll fit inside an 18" rim - you probably need 19" or 20" rims to get them inside. And going ceramic really lightens the unsprung mass (according to Porsche) whereas those dinner plate stoppers look like they must weigh a fair bit.
