That was the funniest thing ever hehe

Half a dozen Bently Continentals crawling around the track trying to pit in...rofl

I especially liked the all-out plan to nail Mekon...and the little pockets of dead and dying cars that were haunting the straight in pairs...ready to lurch into you whenever possible hehe

It was like 'Maximum Overdrive' thumbup

I could hear all the banter - but I couldn't seem to be heard....

I especially like the second race where I found a damage Mekon crawling his way back to the pits so I gently pushed him to the wall then parked in front of him side on roflrofl

He called me the C word hehe

Brilliant fun and a welcome mid evening break from all the serious racing we had done up to that point.

I would actually say that at least 1 race per session should be like this, it really was a welcome break from trying to concentrate... even if trying to make a Lotus Carlton move with only 2bhp is a bit of a struggle hehe

So what are the conditions for these heavy weight races, they sound like a right laugh. I should be on for a bit this evening as long as my Xbox is working properly.

Well...

Last night it was just a smasher race I think. Anything goes. But some of the wiser old chaps got hold of the biggest heaviest buggers they could to act as tanks..hehe

CivPilot turned up in a Lotus Carlton.

Then, on the second race, a few of us had got hold of Bentley continentals...woohoo

When we started doing it a couple of nights ago, the idea was "sim damage, 10 lapper on a short track, 30second countdown, no rules". Last night, for some reason, offence was taken that I was actually making it around the track.

Civ, I wholeheartedly stand behind my remark hehe

Hmmm.. can we be clear then on what the objective is. I thought it was an all out crash fest - demolition derby style (as I demonstrated admirably as I failed to complete a single lap hehe ) rather than a 'race' as such. You got targetted as such, as you seemed to be the only one (well, perhaps you and Chisel) that seemed more concerned with 'winning' than having a laugh - to preserve your 'Champion' points status I assume?

If it was, than that's lamer than a lame lama.

If not, well, fair do.

I had no idea it was a crash-fest until as I zoomed forwards off the line, the person in front reversed straight into me biggrin Good fun though.

I take it as a 'last man standing' - the objective being to be the person that gets to the finish line first...

only you can do it by fair means or foul... and should you end up a couple of laps down, well you simply go the wrong way around to try and stop anyone finishing wink

Note for future reference:-

The Lotus Carlton does NOT work with only 2hp.

wink

You did bring it on yourself Mekon, I mean, trying to actually race around and finish a destruction derby in first place... you were crying out to be stopped. With extreme Malice (Lets be honest though, all I did was park in front of you)

I forget who it was but the first race was hilarious when the only player without a Mike started racing for real totally un-aware the "rules". I can just imagine the WTF moment they experienced when they got slammed, repeatedly, at the end of the first lap hehe

I really was PMSL at Autumn valley, where I didn't have the power to get up the 1 degree incline up to the pits from the first corner after meeting (can't remember who?) head-on at about 100mph biggrin

Went from barely scratched to totally red in one hit hehe

At the Suzuka? race later where we targetted Mekon, I pitted for an engine change 6 times!!! hehe

I was a case of, crawl to pit entrace (this could take several minutes), change engine, leave pits, handbrake turn, head up start straight to try and smack Mekon, repeat biggrin

Ah yes. I thought that was an inspired move, and least likely to bugger my engine. biggrin

Yeah, I did this to Fidgits in one of the races but forgot he was using a mid engined car and the only real damage done was to my car, was a right laugh though.

Hence why I chose a mid-engined car wink

Yeah, you did seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder during that race, which is why I ignored you. FWIW, I was playing just like fidgits described (I went round backwards the day before). I am sure I've never ever mentioned points, and certainly take no notice, so dunno why you were getting worked up. It's all meant to be a laugh.

As I said, if not, fair do. But as Civ said, it wasn't just me that got that impression.

I had had a few shandies by that point though, so apologies if I was a bit abrasive wink

...just don't points whore again hehewink

No worries. We'd played it before that way, so I just didn't get what you were on about.

Shandies would explain why you couldn't hit me, eh? hehe
