Mate of mine has recently bought a megabusa.the problem he is finding is the steering just doesn't feel right,
the car seems to how should i put it,as though its wandering is there a less aggressive rack for the westy or any other recommendation's to sort this problem out...

Tyres
Tyre pressures
Toe
Camber

Need a bit more info really...

You don't mention what rack you are using but check it for free play - a 'not too quick' 2.9 turn Escort rack is about right for road use and a 2.4 for track use.

If the rack appears ok then it is probably a good idea to get the geometry set up properly. This will probably cost in the region of £200 but is usually money well spent.

Razman what year rack would that be for the escort.sounds as though this could do the trick as its only 2.5 turns at the mo...

Yep, spot on. The difference between a 2.9 & 2.4 is quite subtle but better suited to road cars imo - less correction on motorways but still chuckable round the lanes.

have you also checked the front coil overs. If they are set too hard they can sometimes make the handling a bit "skippy" especially if there is not too much weight up front, like if you have a motorbike engine there.
